* Espresso Garden & Cafe to Close *
***********************************
A scant two weeks ago, it looked like a good bet that the Cafe would
survive. Owner Gene Hackett had reached an agreement with a buyer
who would continue the business with music intact, but there was a
wild card in the deck, the building owner. The landlord opted to lease
the space to another party, who will open a sushi bar. No, really.
You can blink now.

Gene will begin dismantling the Cafe on April 10th.

* "Last Hurrahs" and all that *
*******************************
South Bay Folks and the Fiddling Cricket Concert Series have called the
Espresso Garden "home" for the last nine years, and TrueWind Music for
the last two. Together, they have the honor of closing out the Garden's
last nights before moving on.

Thu Apr 6th - SOUTH BAY FOLKS' last open mike at the Garden.
A celebration of the last nine years at the Garden. Free,
and open to the public; details as posted above.

"Don't yet know where we will be moving to, but rather than
mourn the loss, we'll celebrate all the good times. Sing, play,
and be merry, for tomorrow we start lugging P.A. equipment around
    town!"

Fri Apr 7th - TRUEWIND MUSIC'S LAST HURRAH at the Espresso Garden.
"No tickets, no reservations, just come on down and celebrate with
us. Doors open at 7pm; Music starts at 7:30pm.

"Featured Musicians: Dave Metzger & Dennis Aiello; Blah Blah Woof
Woof (Chuck McCabe, Steve Kritzer & Jay Howlett in the round); Bev
Barnett & Greg Newlon; Mike Simpson with Verne Schnaidt; Carol
McComb; The Atkinson Kincheloe Band (Marty Atkinson, Lisa Atkinson
    & George Kincheloe)."

(Post Garden, TrueWind will continue to present quality, live
acoustic music in a series of house concerts. Subscribe to their
email list and get more info on this show and TrueWind's
    future plans at http://www.TrueWindMusic.com/ )

Sat Apr 8th - FIDDLING CRICKET presents: RICHARD GILEWITZ / BRIAN GORE
(a split bill of two virtuoso, but quirky, fingerstyle guitarists)
    Doors open at 7pm; show starts at 8pm; reservations recommended;
$15.00; call 831-475-4938 for more info, or visit
    http://www.FiddlingCricket.com

This last Fiddling Cricket Concert at the Garden is the 500th
show that Fiddling Cricket has offered! That's quite a milestone.
After a brief hiatus, the Cricket may continue to offer shows at
Don Quixotes Music Hall, in Felton, and The Little Fox Theater in
    Redwood City.
