The current weather forecast calls for sunny weather with a high of 78 degrees, but be sure to wear layers as it can cool down quickly at Vasona Lake in the late afternoon. Here's a reprise of the details: When: Sunday, October 7th, 2007 12pm till sunset Where: Vasona Lake County Park 333 Blossom Hill Road Los Gatos, CA 95032 "Sing and play until you or the sun drops!" This October marks South Bay Folks' fifteenth anniversary of making music, and we're celebrating! Bring your acoustic instruments, voices, picnic baskets, friends, and family. Find us at the lake, between the boat dock and the bridge, where there is plenty of shade, a great view of Vasona Lake, and a big barbecue pit. We'll get the fire started if you want to bring something to grill. Details, maps, and driving directions at: http://SouthBayFolks.org/picnic-2007-fall/ *********************************** * 15th Anniversary T-Shirt Report * *********************************** The 15th Anniversary t-shirts were available for pickup at Thursday's open mike. If you haven't yet picked up the shirts you ordered, they will be waiting for you at the picnic on Sunday. If you didn't pre-order, you may be out of luck. Although we had quite a few extras made, nearly all of them were snatched up Thursday night. We will consider having another run made if there is sufficient interest. Many thanks to Katherine Yates who did all of the heavy lifting in this project. The shirts look great, and I expect we will see a sea of them at the picnic :-) *************************************** * South Bay Folks' Acoustic Open Mike * *************************************** 7pm-10pm Every Thursday (sign up by 6:45pm) Held at: Mission City Coffee Roasting Co. 2221 The Alameda, Santa Clara, CA 95050 (just east of Santa Clara University) tel: 408-261-2221 Sign up info and performance guidelines, map and directions at http://www.SouthBayFolks.org/openmike.html Mission City Coffee offers a wide variety of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and other good food, excellent coffee, late hours, plenty of room to accommodate a South Bay Folks crowd, and the owner, Jae, is very music-friendly.
