South Bay Folks first met Bob Riemenschneider and Anne Pasquale
shortly after the SBF open mike moved to Mission City Coffee in
2006. Introducing themselves as "The Warblers," they handed out
dozens of kazoos encouraging the audience to participate in a
rousing rendition of "San Francisco Bay Blues." It was great fun!
I still have that kazoo in my guitar case.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Bob's unexpected passing, and
offer our heartfelt condolences to Anne and his family. A
celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd.

From the family:

    "Bobby passed away suddenly in the early hours of July 9th. He is
    survived by his wife Anne Pasquale, sisters Anne Cody (Mark) and
    Susan Bentjen, brothers Richard (Martha) and John (Laurie), and
    nieces and nephews Kevin, Bryan, Lindy, Kelsie, Caylor, Justin,
    Quinn, and Anna.

    "Bobby's great passion was music. He loved his Beatles, his
    Gibsons, and the music of the Rev. Gary Davis. His favorite
    hours were the time he spent playing as half of the Warblers
    with his friends at South Bay Folks, City Espresso, and at the
    Gibson Homecoming.

    "A memorial will be held Saturday, August 2nd at Vasona Lake
    County Park in Los Gatos, at the old Ranger Office beginning at
    noon. Please come and play him a song, tell a story, or just
    talk about your time with him."

The entrance to Vasona Lake County Park is located at

    Los Gatos, CA 95032

The old Ranger Office in the park is the same location where SBF
holds it's picnics, and next to where the Vasona Vibrations
