* SBF Open Mike notes *

A few quick notes about the open mikes:
 
1) We are thoroughly enjoying our new venue, the Los Gatos Lodge. The
banquet rooms are exceptionally quiet, have good acoustics, and are
well suited for acoustic music. We are currently reworking the sound
system to take maximum advantage of the new environment. Be sure to
drop by and check out the new digs.
 
2) There is now a piano available! It sounds great, and it stays in
tune   Just let us know at the beginning of the night that you
will need the piano; we will make sure it is in the room and
properly set up for your performance.
 
3) We typically set up in one of the banquet rooms adjacent to the
Bar & Grill. On occasion, those rooms may be otherwise booked and we
will set up in a different area. Signs will be posted to help you
find us, or you can ask at the bar.
 
4) In the *very* unlikely event that all of the banquet rooms are
otherwise booked on a Thursday night, the open mike may need to be
cancelled for that night. We expect to get 48 hours notice from the
Lodge, and will post a notice to the SBF open mike page at
www.SouthBayFolks.org. We will also send a note out to this list if
that happens.

* SBF t-shirt corrections and update *

The deadline for ordering this year's SBF t-shirts has been extended
one more week due to a snafu with the email address we gave you in
the last newsletter. If you sent an order or query about the t-shirts
to that previous address, you will need to resend it to Kat Yates at
"MusicKat.SBF@gmail.com". Orders will also be taken at the open mike
this Thursday, January 14th.
 
This is the last call for orders, and, as always, the charge for
t-shirts is whatever the t-shirt company charges.
